Here are some answers to commonly asked questions about skip hire.
What can I put in the skip?
Bricks, hardcore, rubble, soil (that isn’t contaminated), domestic waste such as packaging, black bags, furniture, furnishings, fixtures, wood, metal and plastic.
What cannot go in the skip?
We cannot accept anything listed below in our mixed waste skips, if you need help with disposal of any listed item, please get in touch with our team on 01792 957399.

Do you have the required permits and licences?
We are a fully licenced waste carrier, waste broker and waste manager that has been providing skip hire in Swansea and South West Wales for over 11 years. Our Materials Recycling Facility is licenced to process 75,000 tonnes of waste a year. Our vehicles are fully licensed by the Department of Transport and fully insured. Our drivers are all licenced for heavy goods vehicles and are highly experienced in transporting, loading and offloading skips.
Do you recycle the contents of the skip?
Yes, we sort and recycle all non-Hazardous waste received, with over 90% of all waste diverted from landfill.
How full can I fill the skip?
The skip should be filled no higher than the height of the sides and should be level loaded in order for us to be able to transport the skip safely to our Processing Facility.
Do I need a permit and how do I acquire one?
If you need to place your skip on a public highway (a road) you will require a skip permit from your local council. It is illegal to place a skip on a public highway without permission. We are registered with the Council and we will purchase the permit on your behalf. There is an additional charge for this depending on the local authority you reside in.
How long can I keep the skip for?
The normal period is between one and seven days for domestic customers. If your skip is situated on the road, there are restrictions according to the Council, this usually varies from 14 to 28 days. Please speak to our team about this if you are a commercial customer.
How do I arrange for my skip to be emptied?
